That connected process around the last couple of plays really needs to start coming together to not just get over the line but sustain meaningful pressure. Creating some disruption in the defensive system; getting to the right area of the field (something I hear Agar and Gale are a little at odds about); winning the ruck; quick, accurate delivery, kick selection and accuracy; compete for the ball; alert to transition to defence efficiently.

If you start worrying about giving away long range try’s or 7 tackle sets you’re already losing psychologically. Do you play to win or play not to lose.

Fancy us for this, Tet and Myler back for us is huge having more players back in their preferred positions and a more settled line up will help us, as well having a crowd. Dnt think we are as far off the oace as some are naking out, a few fixes here and there a few extra % can make a huge positive swing. 10 point win.

Have to say im looking forward to finally being able to go to a game again. Its been too long for all of us. I know Doc isnt happy with the stadium as it is now but it will be great to visit Headingley again and see some familiar faces hopefully and get behind the team.

Lets hope the team can work as hard as it has this season but with some players returning produce a bit more quality in attack. Should be an interesting and physical game.

Cant wait.

These are my thoughts, I’m feeling confident we’ll get a much needed win. I’d say this will probably be our strongest side we’ve named since round 1.

I’d go for
Broadbent
Briscoe
Hurrell
Sutcliffe
Handley
Gale
Myler
Oledski
Leeming
Prior
Martin
Mellor
Tetavano

Dwyer
King
Thompson
O’Connor

Ofcourse we can beat Hull. Just need a big improvement in skill Levels. Big game this, they were very average v Catalans.....

Made to look average by a very good Catalans outfit who have since inflicted Saints first defeat.

Theres enough in that team to put in a good performance tonight, mitigating factors, injuries etc need a line drawn under now significant progress needs to be evident (not perfection). The starting pack has all the eggs thrown into that basket and I'm sure they'll create some territory and space, time for the halves and edges to step up. I'm glad to see myler at fb not in the halves, though would have liked broadbent to get a go at centre.
