It’d be a real challenge to replace 3-4 quota spaces in one off season. A real difficult balance for the club is getting that process started early while getting games into those wanting to secure a contract. I really hope prior says though I’m not convinced he’ll want to go round again.

It is and maybe if some are not renewed we may go into next season with quota places available or use more home grown players.

I think it would be a good move not fill our quota spaces. We get an opportunity to really clear the decks this year and say goodbye to some players who have served us well, but can't take us to the next level. The only out of the five off contract overseas player I think we need to keep is Prior. The rest (even though I like Hurrell) are expendable. I would look at getting a six, a prop and a winger from NRL, but not do it cheap. We have some good young ones now and we just need to augment and foster that talent with some real quality.

Unfortunately think Prior will go back to Oz end of this year...
Probably look for a non playing NRL role...

Unfortunately I agree, but I'm hoping they can persuade him otherwise. Awful to think that some of these guys have hardly played in front of a crowd. Maybe a few great nights at HQ would persuade the Priors of the world to stay.

That's a very romantic notion.... Hope so!

It must be a factor to some extent. A lot have come here and put down roots. Two years playing to empty grounds makes it a much more transactional experience.

A world without huge COVID restrictions is a different proposition. Crowds at Headingley make it one of the best sporting venues going - I am biased of course! But it is a cracking ground.

Prior is someone the young lads clearly look up to, and I’m pretty sure he has another season in him - even if we used him more off the bench. Probably our best signing in recent years to be fair. He just has the quality to raise it to another level at times.

I have a feeling this game is the turning point for us. This 2 weeks has come at the right time.

I personally wouldn't rush Newman back at all.

L Sutcliffee did a job at the end of last season, but personally I would have shipped him out ages ago.

When is Tetavano back?

Harry Newman is near fit now, the club are just holding him back due to the severity of the injury. Had there of been DR or Reserve grade, he would of played in them by now.

I could see Hurrell going to HKR as Hall`s centre.
Now that would be a pretty frightening proposition.

By sounds of it, they’ll have Toby King next season.
