Compared to the squad we had under Furner I think this is a better. I said on an earlier thread it isn't complete but there is still a lot of quality.Calling the squad substandard is harsh.

Serious question Doc. If youre so down on the club, team, squad and coaching staff why do you watch them? You cant enjoy it.

Theres a lot more positive stuff at the club than you seem to see.

I get that being a fan is about highs and lows, rough and stuff, but its also a pastime and should be something you look forward to and enjoy. You cant possibly enjoy it.

Im not knocking you, your entitled to your opinion and i cant argue with some of it but jeez your negative. Whats your motivation for watching?

To answer Doc I’d probably say Mik, Prior and Tetevano are the only ones.

Having said that I’m looking at an almost fully home-grown side in a few years of: Walker (fingers crossed for him), Tindall. Newman, Broadbent, Handley, ?, ?, Mik, ? Holroyd, Edwards, Gannon, Smith plus a handy set of subs. There is some real talent there and plenty to be positive about.

Oh and Walters, maybe O’Connor... fair few ex-England academy players there and more good ones coming through.

We really haven’t had as good a flush of talent for ages.

Even I am feeling a little frustrated at some of our recruitment though and I want us to start signing like we mean it. We really are in a place where 1 top drawer player will give us more than 3 quite good ones. Let the lads fill those spots.

Obviously we'll all take the trophy, but it was a hollow victory with only one good performance.

that was my thought , looking at 04-15 possibly replace a young war /bailey or a back row spot in the other sides

I never said that Simmo71. I said the league actually became a trainibg run with the COVID testing farce, and GF played in Hull!!

There are only 2 trophies to win each year. Winning one of them is an achievement no matter how it's dressed down....

ok being serious had a season ticket most of 40 years and yes look forward to going again . No coach can get it right all the time. Smith peaked mid 2005 entertainment wise . macd was aided 2015 by the maverickness of cuthbo , Agar see as a stopgap as he probably did himself but he's limited with what's at his disposal If we haven't the resources to get the same quality due to the rebuild so be it was good while it lasted (though the ss a fraction of what it was atmosphere wise ) .... with yourself seemed a bit of false prophetness of quality coming through and christopher's glass always 99% full too easy to argue against .. And yes one of biggest slow burners roy powell r.i.p i stuck up for over many games and wish was wrong about some of the new ones not keeping their places as would keep some of the average out
