Glanville might not have put a foot wrong but he put the odd elbow wrong after a tackle. That pack was ferocious and dominant. I loved those times.

"Brian McDermott, with a wry smile, nods when asked if he remembers a specific incident which made him realise he was a prick. 'I do', he murmurs."

I watched this longer interview with him a few weeks ago - he's fascinating to listen to, and not just about his time at Leeds.

TBH that team and the players of the Doug Laughton era I can't hear enough from.

It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

Seems a bit strange to say this but I’m as proud of the letter from Red Hall as I am any of the trophies.

After years of us being a soft touch and having a pack that got bullied weekly oh how they squealed when the boot was on the other foot.

Graham Murray was the greatest .

we weren't as thuggish as some of the widnes and warrington assassins of the 80s /90s just a beast of a 6 (baz and masella alternating) that won't be seen again

I loved the Graham Murray era in much the same way that I have loved watching our golden era as we finally turned into a club that wasn't going to be bridesmaid's any longer and he certainly brought both the mental and physical toughness required for our club to be successful

What a ferocious pack of forwards we had during Muzza's reign
McDermott Newton Fleary
Morley Farrell
Glanville

Which player out of that pack would you run at if you were on the opposition's team and camped on your own try line?

I loved going to the away games during this era whilst taking great comfort to the home crowds whining about how brutal we played the game

Happy days and the letters from Red Hall warning the club about their aggression was the icing on the cake for me

watched a bit of it , want to listen to more later - caught the bit about the game being too clean and no characters
