Yes Ive noticed this in life in general lately and it’s not pretty. Respect and empathy levels are at a real low and Social Media is largely to blame IMO, were in an age where people think it’s fine to be pretty nasty just because they’re hiding behind a computer.

He’s a very knowledgeable Rugby League guy who has had far too much stick from people with far less knowledge of the game throughout his career.

Interesting comment Marty, do you know what he will be doing ? Do you think a change of coach is likely?

We will have finished paying Furner at end of the season.

Ive no idea if a change is likely but I would be suprised if it was by the club. I dont think it would concern Agar too much if we decided to move on. He has higher paid offers (plural) elsewhere on the table for less pressure jobs. He is much more respected within the game than fans think. Maybe he would be the one to initiate a change but I dont think he will.

Leeds think hes a "bloody good coach" but the club and Agar both know he will never be fully accepted by the fans and every defeat will always see calls for his head but theyve known that from the start.

We need a win to raise morale but next 3 are tough games no doubt about it. 3 losses and pressure on the club will really be on.

I don’t think there is any pressure on Agar, he was only ever supposed to be a stop gap coach, if people are saying he is a well respected coach including the players he won’t be out of a job for long. You can only coach the players that are in front of you.
That suggests we are as a team a long way behind the four ball to where we should be. After 4 years of rebuilding we have one good quality half back, short of a class hooker, no number 13, and unfortunately a young but quality full back who has suffered the most horrendous injury. No wonder we have struggled this year and while we have 5/ 6 quality players in the team when they are fit we are still short of quality. Why would any quality coach come here unless they have their own recruitment policy, because unless we change our policy the next coach will be the same graveyard shift.

You get the best out of the players available to you regardless of results, I don’t see that being evident this last month at least. Will see if he’s the ability to do that in the next set of fixtures. One thing I really disliked was when he told the players to have a look at themselves publicly, no looking inward to the collective responsibility including himself and the coaching team.

Interesting stuff about him being in demand. As you say lose on Friday and with saints and cats away we will likely be looking at 2 wins from 10, season all but over except for staying up and giving the young players more game time. The late July/August fixture list looks a bit mad so we need some players back to compete through it.

Another year finishing in 8,9 10 will be very disappointing.

We could finish 8th this year and still take the title next. We have the core of a really good side developing.

All depends on the new signings... plus a little luck.

That level of optimism really is beyond absurd!

Ok but if we’d had a decent stand off this season I’m saying we would have won at least three more games. The main reason we are so low on the table is because of a savage injury toll.
