I wonder what percentage of leeds fans actually posted something really personal and nasty? One of the few drawbacks of being a professional sportsman is that people will call you out if they think you were poor (whether you were or not is another matter). In
a couple of weeks time he might have scored a try and some people will say he's a dark horse for the world cup squad.

True. And ideal or not, saints stand to win three in a row if they win the gf. I'd prefer that to remain the preserve of the really good teams so here's hoping they don't.

it's hard to look past Saints sadly though is it. only team i can see stopping them is Wigan this season and that hardly fills me with joy either.

Thing is with social media once you put it down its there, can be seen and inevitably someone will have an opinion on it.

We have a WhatsApp group we post in during games and I'll happily put myself up as i was shall we say "over critical" of Leeds's performance.
During the game another of the lads on our chat happened to remind me of a few home truths of our squad make up, relative game time and fitness etc and you know what? I was bang out of order, I was just frustrated with little mistakes that began to creep in and shot my gob off in the heat of the moment and in the cold light of day I know it was a decent Leeds performance that a year or two ago we wouldn't have seen as we would've run the white flag up and gone into panic mode shipping a boatload.

I was wrong, i caught some slavver on our chat (rightfully so) and we move on, weve all done it and will continue to do so in future from time to time. Thats the ego and passion getting away from us, we looked good in patches against Cas but I let my emotions get the better of me, thank god I didnt post any of it on twitter / facebook etc as this just seems to be blood in the water to some.

I abandoned it all. Not that I ever really was into it in the first place. I joined Twitter to help raise money for our old swimming club through a Starbucks promotion and Facebook to keep in touch with our old rugby club communication. I gave up on Twitter after 12 months because it's a septic tank and finally abandoned "Bragging Book" (OOooh look how wonderful I am and how many friends I have and how perfect my life is) this year.

I don't class this "social media". It's a fan site for RL, run by RL fans for RL fans.

I agree that I think this forum is different to things like Facebook and Twitter, I think discussing performances is fine as long ad it doesn’t stray into personal stuff, however Ive seen far too much nasty stuff about players on Social Media and it’s just not on IMO and the same goes for referees it’s appalling.

I hope the whole thing implodes to be honest (theres next to no chance of that happening)
