a couple of players maybe 3 to secure Taupau. With the young players coming through then that is possible. If Hurrell doesn't sign then we may not need to release any to sign Taupau.

If reports of the new, lean Hurrell are correct he sounds like a man after a contract

All in all it was a very enjoyable watch and very impressive.

Yes we had extra forwards on the field but we had a mongrel there that's long been missing.

You have to hand it to Agar, the team which lost to Bradford was much stronger on paper than this one so it shows what impact attitude, self-belief, clarity of roles and game plan can have on a team.

Very physical performance. Loved some of the hits going in. Maybe I've been watching too much Union (I have been watching far too much) where you get red carded for tickling someone under the chin with the end of your little finger these days. Boy I've missed watching guys get absolutely smashed then get up and get on with it without a half hour video review and a sending off (even though there was one  ).

More of the same please Leeds!

Oldeski is a great talent but he misses a lot of tackles - he doesn't hit in defence - in attack he has good go forward. Alex Sutcliffe I would play before Donaldson when others are fit. I cannot see a place for Liam Sutcliffe - when the centres return.

Tom Briscoe is all over the shop in defence - I am struggling to see what he is bringing? Same goes for Mellor and Martin - although difficult to judge the latter on Saturday.

I would play Broadbent at full back and Myler in the halves

Difficult to judge Mellor too when he's playing as a centre!

To be fair Mellor has been pretty uninspiring in the 2 league games as well. And it's not quite the same leap as from back row to pivot.

Walters looked fairly comfortable to me in the 2nd row. Wouldn't have any issue in him starting this week again.

With Mellow, I think he's very tall and lean. He's not going to smash anyone, but should have good cardio and run a good line. He's solid if unspectacular, but needs to do more to keep his place IMO.

Whoever plays in 2nd row will benifit from having first choice half backs inside them and first choice centres outside them. Agree that Mellor and Martin haven't look great so far, but not for the lack of effort. Think Walters will slowly improve to the point where he ousts one of them from the starting 13. How soon is up to him.

Big hopes for Gannon, his Father was huge, big dirty forward, Gannon and his brother will both make it. I understand his brother plays for Warrington ( no doubt someone will tell me I’m wrong). I think they live in Halifax.
Eastmond is fit for this week. Don’t know who will partner him in the backs, Smith more likely to play alongside him, Martin I back into the second row.
We have too many injuries at the moments while the pack have been really good and held their own we need some experience in the backs. For some reason we have had too many freak injuries these last few weeks, but the future is looking good with the kids. If there good enough let them play,
Have got my seats for the rest of the season in the Directors suite, starting with the Sunday game in May. Happy I am.

totally agree, fully expected Chapman to end up on the studio floor picking the balls up., whilst smartar$e Wilkin looked on . Lets all have them in flat caps with a whippet each for the next round. The BBC would love that.
