Although I think the club has turned the corner massively from our slump, we have a lot of decisions to make this year to really kick on.

If and its a big if, Eastmind works out he will add a lot yo the team, we’re just missing that little bit of pace snd class in the halfbacks

When fit I would play Newman at left centre. That is his true position and he should get a proper shot at it and not be stuck on the wing. There will plenty of chances for Broadbent covering centre, wing and full back over the next 18 months or so. Think a winger with real speed is a priority recruitment wise. It's been left alone for a couple of years now because we've had other priorities, but next year is the time.

Tindal has pace to burn great feet he needs to be given a chance this year. I would give m his chance when we have a our first choice centres back.

I’m not convinced longer term about our back row with Mellor and Martin. They don’t give enough punch imo. Mellor needs to improve a heck of a lot imo and sharpish. Needs a big season

Martin seems to always play better when Lui plays and ays well, i think Martin struggles without decent service

I’m sure the club will work it out but I reckon Broadbent does Newman for pace and skill, and Newman does Broadbent for acceleration and footwork. Newman is more aggressive. A decent winger outside Broadbent will score a hatful. I can see Newman being a physical specimen in a few years and he played pretty well on the right when Hurrell was left.

Broadbent is definitely still developing but he is a classic centre.

Thought Mellor went well today.He ran better lines and as usual put it in in defence.

Concur with most of this. Glad we didn't get stretched out wide this week. I don't think we offered much of a threat of our own in that regard though. Martin offered little. Smith just slows the play down too much for me. Hall needed to be getting the ball before the tackler was on him. We're still not putting up contestable bombs. I thought Liam was more involved this week, but never a first choice half. Broadbent and Tetevano have been mentioned. As have A Sutcliffe's big hits, Mik not getting back on and needing to see more of Tindall when Hurrell's back. Mellor did ok for mine. King needs to be in the 17 to justify signing.
