I still do not see how anyone can predict Leeds above Wire . I really would like a detailed explanation on how you come to the conclusion

Really?
Wire are so boring to watch.
Half backs very Overrated.
Can't rely on Chris Hill forever...
Very pour record in SL considering the money they have spent over the years.

Granted if Inglis can get to 80 percent of his previous level and avoid injury, like the other top clubs will have a say.
But I'd say Leeds have a more balanced squad...

Won't be detailed and the level of guesswork is such that forensic analysis would mean little in any case.
Saying that, our culture is getting well back on track. We've got some good young players to whom the Leeds cause means a hell of a lot and a few more with points to prove. So while I could do a man to man comparison with warrington which might cast them in the more favourable light, I can equally point to the fact that Wire - who, despite some very gifted players - have typically underachieved. In contrast to ourselves, they don't have that home grown aspect, they ship in players whose buy in and commitment varies hugely while all the time that pressure of it finally being their year ratchets steadily upwards. Add to that the likes of Hill - often a liability in any case - and Clark are perhaps not the players they quite were, then yes, I do think we have a reasonable crack at finishing above them.

All pre-season fun anyhow - let's hope the time til the season starts passes quickly and we'll see who's right and wrong. We might both have disastrous seasons though frankly that's still a helluva lot better than no season at all. Bring it on!

I actually agree with a fair bit you say regarding Wire having under achieved and they probably will again , but that to me still leaves them a fair bit ahead of the rest after Wigan and Saints . I think we will have enough trouble getting in front of Hull , Cas and Huddersfield never mind 3rd spot . I hope you do not mean Clark the hooker not the player he was as he is by far and away their best player.

Hard to say with Warrington. Aside from their tendency to overpromise and underdeliver trophy wise you could point to the fact that we gave them a sound thrashing before lock down and also beat them at the backend of 2019. True they beat us after lock down but that was just the kids. They have also lost a good one in Murdoch Massela and I cannot see that he has been replaced. Inglis is one of the finest players I've ever seen but he is now 34, coming back from a long lay off and with a dodgy knee. Definitely taken a risk there. Finally Widdop is homesick and wants to go back to Australia and the likelihood is that at some point mid season he probably will. I think it could go either way for them, but one thing is for certain: Price is under more pressure than any other coach in the league.

Price isn’t under pressure anymore he just announced he is quitting after this season.

For us, to be honest this year I’m not too bothered about table position. Moving up the table would mean more if other sides stayed static, or if there wasn’t some luck involved.

For me it’s about performances, building the young talent, developing our style and making some decisions on players for 2022. I think that is our push year.

Would love to see a couple more youngsters grab a place in the 17 before the end of the year.

Yep , sensible approach , i think we need a couple more kids fullfilling their potential and then bring in a quality stand off and prop and away we go for a successful 2022 with big crowds back watching .
