Four new inductees being announced today and the next three days; I'd not realised he wasn't already in there but first up is the legendary Arthur Clues.
How good is it to see some of the great ex-players in that video, including comments from Clues himself.
Clues is a bit before my time but I've heard people describe him in awe alongside Lewis Jones from that post-war/50s era.
Given retired for >5 years is a requirement I think we can guess who one of the other inductees will be (not Peacock who played on into 2016).
I'd guess the other two slots could come from John Atkinson, Fred Webster and Jim Brough. Recency bias is the only reason Webster isn't already in there so I'd very much like to see him put in.

John Atkinson is already in the Hall of Fame . I think the next 3 will be Alan Smith ,Mick Shoebottom, Keith Senior . The pattern to me seems to be 2 deceased one from 60s 70s and a player recently retired . Although Phil Caplan recited the criteria for induction and said 5 years retired UNLESS CERTAIN CURCUMSTANCES . With an asterisk. So maybe Rob Burrow could be fast tracked in .just my thoughts

So he is, managed to miss him as I skimmed through the current list.

Yes maybe you're right on that. Burrow, Webster, Alan Smith would be my picks then. Sinfield waits til next year.
Arthur Clues should have been in before Barrie Mc.
Absolutely. McDermott was one of the better players in his era for the club but when there were still players like Clues who are in the top 10 in the club's history who weren't there it made no sense other than pandering to modern fans.
Tomorrow I think Alan Smith maybe Shoebottom and If exceptional circumstances is activated in the 5 year retirement criteria Rob Burrow. Jp wo t get in because he played for HKR in 2016

no reason for ay inductees to be from modern era till worked through previous ones

Wish club would make more of this Hall of Fame. Seems they are starting to.
Sinfield should be a 1st ballot Hall of Famer. JP also but prob wont be. I think Rob will get in this year.
Am truly surprised Clues was not previously in the Leeds HOF. First saw him play in Hull in 1947 with Bert Cook also in the side. Would rate Clues as a great second row forward with real class on a par with fellow Aussie Harry Bath.
Also in that match playing for Hull was an Aus winger Bruce Ryan who came over just after Arthur. When Ryan first arrived by train in Hull a crowd of 4-5 thousand (me included) were there to meet him and he was one of my favourite ever players. I cried when he left to join Leeds for a world record fee in 1950.
