I really don't know what's going on behind the scenes but I do want us to sort this issue out 100% before we get anywhere near pre-season this year.

I am one for patience and playing the long-game, but for me next year is a Serious Season for a number of reasons. We need a plan and a reasonably settled side (particularly with settled pivots) going in to training.

If - if - we sign Austin, he'll play FB I reckon. Gale n Sezer in the halves with Myler the cover option. But not convinced this signing's on the cards anyway.

I understand the disciplinary thing regarding Gale has been sorted and from good sources within the club there was no punch thrown. Apparently he was mouthy and childish and left Agar no choice other than to drop him. He has lost the captaincy and promised to knuckle down.
Let’s hope that this is the end of the matter but if we sign Austin (IMO he would be the type of half back who would be ideal with Sezer) then who knows what might happen but competition for places brings out the best and in recent post 2017 we have not had much of that.
Time will tell how this plays out.

christopher in disguise one out of the 3 might be ok but not all comparably in 2015 had delaney bailey singleton poss mullally at their standard

How about we swap Gale with Connor giving us 3 pivots in Myler, Sezer and Connor?
Alternatively we swap Myler and Gale for Connor and get Austin leaving us with Connor, Sezer and Austin.
Now that would be tasty.

it means he thinks 3 bang average players are suitable for a club with aspirations alongwith the briscoe's , dwyer , mellor and martin
