We require much better than Blake Austin.

I could, perhaps, accept Austin on loan for the rest of this season. But that would be it. We need better quality in our halves.

Can't believe we don't have a kid in the academy who could've had a few games.

Even for a short term deal we'd have to create a space on the overseas quota. We are at capacity. If Lui's injury is worse than the club have so far acknowledged there could be something in it. If not, it's a non starter.

Austin over Williams ? Wow.... i'd take Austin short term but it's a non starter as we're full quota. Mind you Austin really should be exempt as he's played for GB (they should create that rule imo).

Yep - and absolutely certainly definitely not for £300K a season mercenary and a marquee place.

Any halfback looks good behind a monster pack in the NRL.

Austin just fine on loan/a short term deal.

Depends who they are but it's common knowledge that some of the bottom feeder RL rumour websites do exactly that and trawl through places like this for info.
If it's Gledhill or Serious About RL for example you can take it with a 1991 sponsored Lada full of salt.

Agree on a short term deal but there’s no way he’s better than Williams.

No idea how realistic this rumour is but if Lui isn’t fit and he can be removed from the cap this year, Austin is an interesting option for this season. As for 2022 much would depend how Austin performed this year and who was available and affordable. But it’s not a bad idea to test the water and see how it progresses. Without Lui it wouldn’t take much to improve our half back partnership.

I wouldn’t touch Austin with a barge,show pony flat track bully.

However and its a big however, he us a serious strike player and having Myler and Gale pulling the strings some what , having him just as a strike/runner, well it might be the right player at the right time?
