Something again I could see happening. They are losing a lot of experience in 2022, Castleford losing Millington, Milner, Holmes, Mata’utia, possibly Turner, Shenton, Foster.

Although Martin was class when he first came over, currently his kicking game is all that we would miss. Since he got severe COVID and with that having made his asthma much worse, he hasn’t been the same. If the club are cutting their losses to bring James Bentley through with Sam Walters and Jarrod O’Connor, then I’ll take that.

Muizz Mustapha could return but has option to stay at Hull KR. Likely Oli Burton moves into the first team next season too.

Looking at that, personally think we are lacking a winger, a second rower and a half back. With a lot of cap space and three quota spots, we could do a lot, although, Trueman, Bentley and another forward, I’d be happy.

There are a number mentioned above that are still OOC - L Briscoe, Vuniyayawa, A Sutcliffe, Holroyd, McLelland, Prior.

I'm pretty sure we will be in for him as reported on here elsewhere. Martin going the other way might make sense too... anyway, a player I'd gladly have at Leeds if we can make it work.

Must be a nightmare trying to manage signings behind the scenes. Players drifting in and out of form, injuries, personal indiscretions which need sorting out - then you're waiting for answers of good players who might come in, you lose one because the first one takes too long to decide, and then doesn't come anyway... who'd be a Director of Rugby?
