Tariq is the best of all the Sims brothers. Has his injuries but a very talented player. Seems a good character too.

Don’t think we’ll get him but pleased we’re interested.

Are we actually rumoured to be interested? Noticed Matt Shaw unequivocally shot down the Tapau to Leeds "rumour" yesterday.

Reported in Aussie press that we’re strongly interested but I’d have doubts over affordability and over whether he is quite the right type of player.

Then again his brother is over here and we do like the mobile forward don’t we?

Good second rower who i presume would start there then move to prop during the game.Has there been a decision on scrums yet for next season?

I don’t know enough about him but is it beyond possibility that at the stage of his career and physical presence that he could transition to front row?

I cant see him coming, especially if the roosters offer him a contract. Be a good signing, but maybe the wrong one, best case scenario is him going to 13 letting tetevano revert his actual position.

Can't argue with his pedigree. No mugs in State Of Origin. Suspect we are now going to be linked with every player who is made available whether we are interested or not. If we do plump for another loose forward type you'd have to feel sorry for Cam Smith. He will never get a starting jersey at this rate.

We do not need another player who’s main position is Loose Forward. How is Cam Smith ever to really prove he can ‘own’ the 13 shirt if he never gets the chance to start games there on a consistent basis. Same goes for any of our younger players.

We need a prop, not someone who we can convert into a prop, or someone who played there a few times and might be worth a gamble, we need an experienced metre making hard nosed prop.

I agree and I think most people would. The issue is that almost every other team in SL needs exactly the same thing. So if there are not enough of those experienced metre making hard nosed props available your choices are take a punt on somebody from the championship, take a punt on somebody coming over and playing as a prop or a relatively unknown prop coming over.

I’m not saying we could get one like him but Kylie Leuluai wasn’t exactly a household name when he arrived but boy what a player he was.
