Agar does have the connections to find some gems still I think.

I’m hoping Leeds will become an attractive club to join again too, we look progressive and competitive for the first time in years, crowds back in the wonderful stadium…

There’s a good story to tell to potential new recruits, with such a good young side developing.

Mitch Garbutt was very good when he first came across too. We must try because if we get this right I think it’ll really make a difference.

Agree, we need to look and I really hope we find. However I think we just have to be realistic and know that finding what we want is going to be difficult because so many clubs are looking for it.

Kylie had played 70ish NRL games when he arrived so yes not a household name but finding that kind of a player, especially that style isn’t easy.

I hope we find somebody, an experienced metre making hard nosed prop but if we don’t I think the question is do we sign somebody like Simms who isn’t a prop or do we look to wait for somebody to become available?

As a rule, I just wouldn’t sign anyone else in whatever position unless I was signing them to start in the 13.

Sims would be the best back rower we have, I could see some logic in it. Bentley is on a 2 year, Mellor and Martin have only 1 left. Doubts over Walters and young Gannon needs 2-3 years to physically mature yet.

Still don’t think we’d have the clout to get him in all honesty. And agree an outright prop is what we need most. Also agree it really does depend who is on the market. We might take the bird in the hand approach - next year a fair amount of cap and one or two more quota spots should be freed up…

Tadders might have to be if we can’t find/afford the right player yes.

IMO we have a good enough side for 2022 to win it. We haven’t been miles off at times this year.

It’s not really a case of jam tomorrow: either the right players are available and affordable or they aren’t. The core of this squad will be around for a decade won’t they? Given the weak hand SL clubs have, financial constraints etc is just is what it is. The only sure way is youth development at the end of the day isn’t it?

We still have Broadbent and Tindall who can cover wing but this does make me wonder if we’re signing someone else.

Most definitely will bring in a wing now. Broadbent can do a good job there whilst he continues to develop but it’s a touch early for him imo and Tindall is a way off. Very interesting to see how this develops
