GH can tell him he's free to find another club and he may manage to get a longer deal than he is presently on. If he can't or doesn't want to then he stays for another season.

It's possible. Lui was a crisis signing when we were at our lowest point. We will have needed to pay over the odds for him

Taupau would be an amazing signing but its complete pie in the sky! He has a year left on his deal at Manly and is on 420k sterling a year. Even with the offer of a longer deal to reduce the sum and switching around marquee lists I can't see we would have enough cap space. Gale wod have to leave and even then it would be doubtful.

Austin is also on a deliberately low-ish one year contract with the intent of proving himself at Leeds to earn a longer term deal and to inherit some of Gale's salary cap when it comes free in 2022.

Yep Taupau is in that £300-400k bracket I would imagine, struggling to see how we could make that happen. Would be great but I’d settle for another Ava.

Depends on what Manly would do in terms of his salary. If they would contribute say £150k for the final year then that changes things. My bet is he will be back at Wests.

Well if he’s open to coming over we’ve the best chance of any SL club to sign him imo. It’s a big if though as he’s easily still good enough for any nrl side.

It could well be that an NRL side might offer him 2 years but Leeds will offer 3?
