Yep, he didn't play with 2 strikers even when he managed Argentina and had Batistuta and Crespo available, so he wasn't going to do it when he had Bamford and Nketiah!

If we're looking at getting cover for Phillips, someone like Danny Drinkwater maybe an option. The thing is, whoever we get will have to be happy with being back up, as Phillips' position is probably the most secure in the team.

agree with those who say we need Rodrigo and Raphinha on the pitch regular now, you can see they have the pure class to win a game like yesterdays with a killer pass or great strike that others in our squad don't posses on a consistent basis at least.

would really good to keep a fit squad in general now and with no more international breaks this year. decent point which i would have been more than happy with before kick off. a clean sheet too which we needed. on to Everton and Chelsea now which should be great games to watch then a december which provides us some real opportunities to pick up points against teams in the bottom 3rd.

Yea. The Everton game will be box office.

It's good to hear fans can start to return, although West Yorkshire will probably still be tier 3, so it's not looking likely we'll see fans there for a while yet

Cover for Phillips could come from Koch who seemed to play that role for Germany with Struijk dropping into the back 4 potentially.

If we are to finish in top 10 or 12 they hold the key imo. Rodrigo looked absolutely class when he came on. Wand of a left foot.

And Llorente.

On Rodrigo, I don't think the coaching staff thought he had the match fitness to play more minutes. He played the first half for the u23s today.

Looking forward to seeing Llorente. He needs to get in the team soon though as otherwise he may struggle to settle if he doesn’t play.
