Sutcliffe and Minns secure long term deals. : Fri Jul 05, 2013 6:05 am
Liam Sutcliffe and Thomas Minns have signed new long term deals Sutty has signed for 4yrs and Minns for 3.
With Alex Foster secured aswell for another 2yrs after this one it's good to see some of these young lads signed up.

#frostiesbitches We know who you are.

How ironic that these lads would be gone in a few months, had we not been ridiculously lucky to get players injured.

Should never have had to come to that.

Good luck to them for the future.

Please explain what you are basing this comment on.

You don't think the club would have given them deals anyway?

Well,i think in Sutcliffe's case, he was a regular feature in and around the match day 19 even before the injuries so it seems he was highly thought of even then. Its hard to believe the lad was not heading for a long term deal. The game time he has got though will probably have got him a few extra quid!

Minns and Foster are very young lads and these deals may have been forth coming for them anyway who knows?

Campaigning for a deep attacking line

But wait, I thought our injuries were caused by the coach overplaying players weren't they? So surely the credit goes to Brian McDermott for deliberately injuring our players to give the young lads a chance.

"He's the best coach I've had... His mix of man-management and his game plan is second to none. Since Brian Mac has been in charge, we've been in every final so far. I love playing for him. I can't praise him enough, I've so much respect for him and I hope he's here for a very long time." Kevin Sinfield 29/9/12

Great news. Just hope we can retain Baldwinson too.

 Can't fault the logic.

However I just have a feeling that if we get walloped tonight Brian McDermott will be accused of "flogging" the youngsters and not rotating them to give the promising under 12's a chance.

They have done right dipstick. Did you not read it? the lads are staying and given long term contracts. The point is they wouldn't have been here but for a injury crisis.

Apologies that reality is a sensitive issues to some poor soles.
