There's everybody makes mistakes then there's WTF mistakes an elite operator like GH with a blue print that built a successful legacy that lasted 15yrs shouldnt be making certain mistakes.
I also dont mean Winning the GF or CC every Year but they certainly shouldnt be fighting relegation signing pkayers like Crosby Falloon Thompson Albert or retaining Ablett et al when they have zero hope of playing or are way past the standard previously set.

Only Falloon out of those was a GH signing.

Mullally Ferres Vickery Cross etc there have been plenty of his recruits that were average SL players let alone good enough for Leeds plus extending deals mate.
Dont get me wrong he's pulled off some master strokes as well Senior Ali Webb Ellis Kylie JP Cuthbo etc. I just think when you set a standard you should try to either stay in that ball park or not bother & back your youth. I know not all signings are top class but when you think we've had Poching Aiton Moon etc signed without having big reps or even when we first signed Kirke who was decent for 3years or so i still think we've signed players that are nowhere near Leeds standards

On the issue of the forecast losses, what does the balance sheet show in terms of retained earnings? No doubt that kind of hit is a significant sum, but for Leeds it’s probably not life threatening. The club likely have enough reserves to ride it out without any Directors Loans coming in.

There's nothing I've seen in the accounts which suggests there was an advance from Leeds to the union club at any point in the recent past.

It happened when they were both under Caddick ownership when Leeds became a bank for various cash requirements in the Caddick group but these balances were all settled up when he got out of union.

Plenty of retained earnings but not so much cash after the stadium works. They will definitely need some loans, in the millions, to ride this out and have indicated that they will definitely be applying to the government-backed one that the RFL is managing. It will however be interesting to see if Caddick has the ability or desire to put cash in himself.
