Think Mulhern is bound for Leigh if they get promoted. They'll have to shed tonnes of overseas players so would not be surprised if our alleged unwanted players ended up there.

I think we have to remember we've upgraded a lot of our players contracts this year.

- Newman 2 year extension ( I'd imagine we've thrown a bit a cash at him as he's getting into that international standard bracket and wouldn't have been short of offers.)

-Austin triggered 1 year extension ( He may be on same terms as previous deal but he'll be on 100k + I'd have thought)

- Martin 2 year extension ( he'll definitely have had a upgrade probably close too 100k + I'd have thought being overseas and a PNG international.)

Myler 2 year extension- ( Was first choice full back going into this year and a veteran player won't be on a small salary)

Holroyd- 4 year extension would have had a upgrade on contract.

O' Connor- 3 year extension would have had a upgrade on contract.

Johnson- 2 year extension would have had a upgrade on contract.

We've already confirmed
Dwyer, Mellor, Broadbent will be off our cap in 2023

We expect Briscoe, Thompson & possibly Mustapha to leave as well ( Maybe Walker but he's contracted til end of 2023)

We've brought in so far Sangare & Mcdonnell.

We expect Hardaker will extend his contract with us and he will take up space on the cap he's a first choice back and international player.

Plus we will be paying all of Fusitu'a salary from 2023 I think as NZ warriors only contributing for 2022.

We don't know what other bonuses players have in their contracts after playing so many games a season etc.

Pretty sure Tetevano & Sezer are our marquee players (Sezer was definitely marquee at Hudds so even if he isn't at us he'll definitely be on a big salary)

For me personally I don't think we'll have a lot of cap space to play with especially if only Briscoe, Thompson & Mustapha are the only other players who leave at end of season if they are can only seeing us bringing in 1 more player alongside Sangare & Mcdonnell.

When Sezer signed it was reported he wasn't a marquee signing.

That’s right, Leigh currently have 14 overseas players, if they are promoted they’ll have to follow the quota rules and cut that down to 7.

Super League squads are generally bigger than Championship squads, Leigh will need to be looking to sign 10+ British/French players, they’ll need to be going for most off contract player available.

Kevin Proctor is rumoured to be coming to Super League, he’s available now having being sacked for vaping (seems very harsh) has the deadline for signings this year now passed?

He’s knocking on a bit but was a top World class international player, I’d be happy for us to sign him, ideally it’d be on a one year deal but I suspect he’ll want at least 2 years.

Why would you want another old player who is taking the pi## with his current team.
Maybe if he was a big young heavy prop who had made a genuine mistake.

if they have 14 over seas players then for me they should be rejected for promotion, championship should have a lesser quota than super league, they should be developing their own players or bringing through late developer from super league academies.

And as for Mulhearn we really can do better than resigning a player not good enough the first time round.
