If what has or has not been suggested is true.
It really does beggar the question how on earth we can be in financial difficulties considering the number of season tickets sold each year, the average attendance over the last few years, the appearances at Wembley and at Old Trafford and the WCC.
The lack of investment in players over a number of years apparently nearly always being under the cap.
No real development of the ground other than a new pitch every year.
If it is true and nobody can prove it other than hearsay.
Then someone needs sacking or investigating for fraud and or theft.
Oh I forgot we had to cough up for the training ground as our insurance did not cover the floods.
Maybe that`s what has put us in the situation we appear to be in.

I think people are missing the major point on what the club are trying to do, and what forms part of the club as a whole. There seems to be a tendancy to go from one extreme to another. I am unsure anyone has said we have financial difficulties as an ongoing business. It's going forward and what we have that is a difficulty, and the problem created and as a consequence of managing that.

So how did Hetherington turn around the business side of things? “We inherited about £5.5m of debt and the business was losing close on half a million a year,” he says. “And to compound matters, the team’s fortunes took a considerable dive in 1996 when they narrowly avoided relegation.
