We definitely approached Powell. The man himself confirmed it to a really good mate of mine after hed bumped into him at a festival.

From what I understand, and this is by no means gospel, Sinfield and Furner fell out mostly about a single player, but generally about the culture and attitude around the place. Furner wanted to make changes but he wasn’t allowed, and then started trying to upset the Apple cart. All allegedly of course.

Furner I am led to believe is still living over here will want to get this wrapped up so he can go home .He must be after a pretty penny off the club

He is, he held a coaching session with my nephews team in Hindley (Wigan) the other day and said he’s staying in the area at the minute.
