Yes. In retrospect, it looked like we carried our pre-season form into game 1 in 2023. And we were trying to catch-up ever since. I'm not in favour of going out full-tilt in friendlies, but with so many new players, the risk is that we will be under-done if there's not a gradual raising of intensity. I guess we'll find out soon enough!

As a former player if you go on to the field be it pre season, friendly, or otherwise if you don't put 100% in you should think about doing something else for a living eg. your bin man only emptying 70% of your bin he ain't done his job properly your optician only checking one etc if you went into a boxing ring sparing and only put 70% effort in you'd get a pasting 100% effort 100% of the time.

For me I just want to be better entertained this year. Obviously we all prefer winning games but it’s seemed too long since we had real quality and scored the great tries.

I want to see our young players showing real promise of becoming future stars, which again has been too few and far between.

Is Toby Warren still at the club or is he on loan.He's down has a second rower but iirc he was signed as a prop?
