I think the 2 key words there are "can't afford". 2018 we paid off McD. Furner is still in the country and whatever settlement is agreed, leeds will not have budgeted for paying 2 head coaches this year, with crowds down and other income likely to be the same, hence why agar steps up and fills the void. I'm sure agar is being paid more than his other role but we have a part time assistant coach to go with him.
It's the cheap as chips option for now.
No idea if anyone is lined up but personally I doubt it. GH recent article in YEP, where he talked about recruitment implied to me that it will be Lui and Myler in the halves next year.
