I can understand the frustration on here regarding Ward, out of contract at the end of the season, injured already this season, and last
year he only played five ? Games , something like that. ( tell me if I am wrong). However when he is fit he brings something different to the way we play, he makes us a better team. However on the negative side he does get injured a lot. Unfortunately for the player the injuries never last a couple of games, nearly half a season. What is the current state of his health, is he fit or still injured. If he is fit now then he starts with a clean slate between now and the end of the season. I will be surprised if there is a host of clubs wanting to sign him on a huge salary, his injury record speaks for itself. Candidly he is one massive risk to who ever signs him especially with no money coming through the gate and it could be a long time before clubs start to balance the books, this means can anyone afford to sign someone like Steve Ward. This one I trust with Sinfield. He said from the beginning, it’s no good having players sat in the stands with long term injuries on big contracts , and true to his word he has had a massive clear out. Let’s see what decision he makes with Ward. I think he has spoken to Ward and told him there is a contract to sign if he can get fit. I don’t think the contract will be huge, tops a one year deal on same or similar money. Take it or leave it, no one wants him to leave, but the current situation cannot continue.
Regarding Hall , I cannot see him coming back to the UK after the result yesterday, if he comes back there must be a serious problem between him and the other players, after last night’s thrashing of the Broncos , the team are looking good. Why would he sign for Toronto, that’s one hell of a let down.
Anyone heard of our player Dominic Crosby , is he still with us. Has he left or retired. Surely he cannot service the chop this year.
