Eseh to Wigan is interesting. They have one heck of a pack for next season, will be very difficult to handle.

We are obviously looking for a prop so I’m surprised Eseh has chosen Wigan over his home town club but there we go.

Wilson is another SMTM client I think: he might be a solid addition but we’ll see what happens.

Going to be a very big dominant pack that can cope with injuries/bans without much hassle.
Hopefully we now have more brains and enough skill to keep turning then around and tiring them out with kicks and trapping in goal etc.

Still worried about our pack,too many workhorses abd not enough oomph

What are the odds of Sinfield returning to the club as a assistant coach.. sure I read on a previous post that we had a assistant coming is it possible

No and I would not touch either. Need to stay away from past players until they have proven themselves elsewhere.

I don’t think he’d put that pressure on Jack.

Not to say I’d be against him as a coach in the long run, but I don’t think now is the right time.

Interesting, I don’t see it that way. I view it as forward planning, Cooper and Mago are likely to depart at the end of 2024 so the club need to make provision for that, Hill and Eseh will replace them.

It's interesting that Wigan's first choice hooker was displaced at Leeds by Jarrod O'Connor, who reverts to being our back-up. I liked Leeming a lot at Leeds, but he seemed to go better when played in the halves. IIRC he directed our attack well in the middle of the field, but the outside backs were poorly served. There are also big question marks over his defence (led by Wane, amongst others). A bit of a risk for a first choice spine player for a top 2 club.

Likewise, I was amazed to see that Warrington have re-signed Dwyer, another deeply flawed hooker. They will struggle if they rely on him, although he does bring the x-factor.

Dwyer's x factor is great for trying to dig your team out of the hole that he's been largely responsible for creating in the previous 60minutes.
