Sinfield is the coach in all but name. He doesn't want the job title so he doesn't get blamed when things go wrong but you can clearly see him giving agar instructions during the match
Wow Sinny as director of rugby and Agar as acting head coach can regularly be seen discussing things during games...What ever next?

Would the Tigers games that you state that Wells doesn't even attend perhaps coincide with live Sky TV games where he is employed to be at those televised games?

Someone at the club said to me yesterday Agar was getting a 3 yr contract but may well have been nonsense
I'm actually starting to think this will happen for better or worse! look if he can get the team playing well and back up the top end then I'm fine with it, not that he would be my first choice...
There’s no question the side is playing better now since Agar took over, although we seem to be relying on individuals too much still. Furner did seem, initially, to give us some shape on attack.
He wouldn’t be my first choice but the club might feel that he’s doing a good enough holding job while KS focuses on this almost unprecedented overhaul job.
Don’t see the need to give a long-term coaching contract though. Why not say he’ll be coaching in 2020, but will revert back to his original position if and when a new head coach is found?
The whole Agar thing is a bit strange; brought in while DF was gathering a cloud and then put into post after DF was fired - now speculation that this might be longer term after all. Smacks of some legal foxtrotting if I’m honest.
I am not convinved we are better. I genuinly think there is a better belief throughout the club, and more togetherness, but I am not convinced we are playing any better. In those first four games of the season, we produced some performances that far exceeded anything we have seen since.
Like I said, I do believe Agar, along with Sinfield has brought back a toughness and improved attitude, which we desperately needed. But match threat wise, I don't really think we have kicked on. Even yesterday, whilst our completion rates were great, the basics were good, and the defence in parts tough, we still looked way off a top side. Going with that same set up, which I will put my neck on the line and say I don't believe will be the case at all, you can only see us continuing at the bottom half of the table rather than the top.
It may well be, that the reason for all that is that the players also are in mid mindset, in that they know it could just change again in a few months, and/or they might not even be there.

I sort of agree, Our attack isn't as good as it was with Furner but our Defence is much much improved as is the team togetherness. I't going to be really interesting how the rest of the season pans out

Agar isn't the only variable - getting rid of Tui and Parcell you would think should help some with team morale. Tui also missed tackles and made errors every game.
Lui coming in changes the team quite a bit, shifting Sutcliffe into better-suited back row position and giving us more threat from half.
I expect Martin to make a positive difference too.
Watkins out and Merrin as new captain is also a significant change.
Agree we don't look Champagne Leeds at all. I also think a "proper" first grade coach could be the difference between another meh season for 2020 and actually getting excited.
For me though the club is doing the right thing in addressing the playing squad first.
If improved togetherness and spirit is all Agar brings, I think that'll be enough to save our skins this year and I'll take that 100%.
Club have to think long term with the next appointment. Agar for me isnt going to lead us to super league glory again. Hes ok to steady the ship but not to take us back to being the best.
