Sutty released to new club
Some of Gildart wage covered by Wests
Cap freed for a prop to come in?
Seems to be a lot of action for just Gildart??

Sounds unlikely although I'm not surprised he's leaving Aus - looked way too small and completely out of his depth at Wests. Having said that they are an utter basket case of a side and even a top NRL centre would struggle there. If he does join us it might mean Sutcliffe is leaving early or maybe Fusitu'a is leaving next season? Hopefully nothing to do with Newman...

He's only signed for the rest of the season. He's signed dor the Dolphins next year

Would anyone be that upset if Sutcliffe left early? He's had a good couple of games in a team that's hitting form with the ball, but has been anonymous (or worse) for most of his Leeds career. It seemed as though being dropped may have given him the kick he needed, but there's no evidence that he would do anything other than revert to type when the going is tough.

I think this more about the Sutcliffe situation more than anything, if he is leaving next year as rumoured, then it might be a case of him going early to free up Cap space, which does leave us short in the centres if we get any injuries - Wests may be paying part of gildarts salary which means he won't take up as much cap space as Sutcliffe this year.

Put it this way, if Sutcliffe is Leaving next year and we've got the option of Sutcliffe or Gildart for the rest of the season it might not be as odd as first looks. Gildart has struggled at Wests but he is a n international class Centre.

If the choice was Gidart and Newman or Sutcliffe and Newman as our centres which would you choose?

Gildart. Not one I saw coming though. Wonder if they think Zak's dead leg might be several weeks, as injuries of that type often are.
