Very possibly. If they are really after Jai Field, then there would have to be another Brit if they wanted to spend Marquee money. I can’t see a Brit worth it in a position we need.

Certainly none that their clubs would be willing to sell. Walmsley would be my pick and hes a yorkshireman but cant see saints selling at any price.

Aren't there any quality outside backs in the Championship we could look at? Like people have said, you'd want an overseas signing to be one of the first names on the teamsheet. If he's squad cover is there anyone in the lower leagues to do that whilst playing in the reserves/dual reg?

That's why I think we will wait until next season to use marquee money on a quota player.I doubt very much we will bring in two players for this season.

Agar has been in print saying we want to bring two players. Still what we want and what we get are two different things sometimes...

He has yes so to bring in two you would think one has to be from SL. I haven't read or even heard a rumour of anyone in SL as anyone else?

We can only dream. I'd be tempted to seriously test their resolve with a big bid. He may be tempted to come home..

If we were going to go for him I think this would have been done earlier in the off season.
