Quote Juan Cornetto="Juan Cornetto"Funny how you choose to be selective when it suits your negative ramblings. You attempt to dismiss the fact that the pride of the NRL were bested by Leeds because it proves the paucity of your augument. It is you that has suggested JP spends his time reversing into the opposition and that this tactic only works in SL. As I pointed out Manly (a side full of Australian Internationals) had difficulty in coping with JP's technique particularly in the crucial final quarter. I suggest you take a look again at the replay of the WCC where you will be enlightened.'"
Nope, I didn't see any of that. I'm still waiting for those Peacock stats to back up your game-breaking assertions to enlightem me instead. How much longer do I have to wait?
Here's why James Graham was highly sought after by NRL clubs and why Jamie Peacock wasn't.
[u4N Final V Australia 2011[/u
Graham 35 tackles, 1 ineffective, 1 missed, 19 runs, 134 metres gained, 1 offload
Peacock 27 tackles, 3 ineffective, 2 missed, 8 runs, 64 metres gained, zero offloads
[uV Australia 2008[/u
Graham 33 tackles, 0 ineffective, 1 missed, 16 runs, 118 metres gained, 2 offloads
Peacock 34 tackles, 0 ineffective, 6 missed, 11 runs, 93 metres gained, zero offloads
Quote Juan Cornetto="Juan Cornetto"In the interests of accuracy ou may like to change your use of the word 'pirouetting' as this denotes a full rotation on one leg. Now had you used the term 'demi detourné' which is a half turn on both legs you may have been taken more seriously....but then again not
'"
No need because in the interests of accuracy, Peacock does invariably pirouette on one leg with his back turned at the point of impact, and in the absence of a Super League-esque offload under low-intensity SL match conditions (conspicuous by their absence at high-intensity international level against Australia of course) he then proceeds to continue through the full 360 degrees in order to position himself for his trademark and illegal quick PTB where the foot deliberately makes no contact with the ball.
Quote Juan Cornetto="Juan Cornetto"By the way if you could point me in the direction of the Australian team that won the World Club Championship this year I would be grateful?'"
I can point you in the direction of NRL teams who have turned up more than a week in advance of the WCC and where some even play a warm up game in the UK in the week prior to the WCC if you like? And guess what? They win. No surprises there, even if it's still a pre-season warm-up game for them.
