Not really, there's just a need to do now what should have been done during the off season. Only now it could be an expensive exercise except as our CEO recently stated "I believe it’s an extremely talented group of players who can achieve our objectives this season.”
Our objectives presumably being to not defend our WCC title, be knocked out of the CC at home at the first hurdle, lose to Bradford at Odsal for the first time since 2003 and lose at home to Salford for the first time since 1977.
Well said. Nice to see us putting all our focus ino the super league now we're out of the cup... I knew something wasn't right with the squad from the wcc. I said it then and i'll say it again - the squad aint good enough..we're weaker this year than we were last...and something needs to be done to improve the team adn freshen us up... we need a big lift urgently.
Squad is light and my major concern is a lack of pace out wide which is multiplied by the fact Donalds positional move has obviously had a negative effect.
Partially agree with the likes of Hall and Gibson. I think we just have too many young lads in the back line who are not quite ready yet to be playing week in week out..you've got watkins, ben jones bishop, hall. Then you've go Smith who's meant to be playing at centre who's hardly ever played there which adds up to being a problem. I'm not saying get rid but they're just not good enough at the moment and need to be nurtered along.. some top class expeirience needs to be brought in asap

IMO we are light in the centres and need to sign an experienced international with some years left in him. Ablett is doing alright filling in there but cnt expect to do it any longer.

How many experienced international centres with some years left in them are there. And how many would you be willing to pay over the odds for because the are many teams that would be interested in a player of that description.

If the chequebook isn't neccessary does that mean the signings of Senior and Ellis weren't neccessary either?
Of cause they were and I'm sure if the right player became available GH would be in there in a shot.At this time in the season I doubt any club would be prepared to sell their top players.

The right player (the current England first choice right centre) became available last week. Was GH in there like a shot?
