Sure, it would have been better had it happened last month but that's life and I have no Ill will to Merrin for putting his family first.
Now we have a better looking front row, some cap space and if Martin's passport is sorted a quota spot. It needs to used widely but it gives us options.
I agree I was initially annoyed how he had gone about it but I think long term good for the club he isn’t a marquee player, and was a waste of a spot.
He had a good year last year and was a good player for us but off field wasn’t a very good role model in terms of professionalism.
Is he moving for family reasons had several offers didn’t he in the window we gave him and decided to come back to Leeds?
Either way quite happy he has gone better to be rid than have someone not wanting to be here. Just hope we don’t rush out and panic buy someone would like us to take our time get the right person
