Not disputing that he won player of year in 2018 but I think a 3 legged donkey could have won our player for year in 2018 with some of our performances, if we kept Myler on that leaves us with 4 half back options with Gale, Lui, Myler and Mclelland, like I said in my previous post I wouldn't mind if we try to release Rob Lui after this season to free up an overseas quote spot for ourselves but if Lui remains and we resign Myler i think we have too many half backs in squad, obviously it's good to have strength in numbers due to injuries and competition for places but if Myler was getting picked ahead of Mclelland if we had injuries in halves then it'd be a bit of a shame as I don't think many can say Richie Myler has been a top class player for us when we signed him and then picking him would stop the development of young players like Mclelland.
