I'm amazed there is even the smallest amount of support for a signing like this, it's ludicrous.

Successful union to league converts are very rare and it's even more rare that they can come in and make an impact quickly.

We shouldn't be going anywhere near this type of signing.

On the other hand -
salary cap exempt
played Rugby League to a good level before being taken away from the sport

I'm neither for or against it but if it doesn't cost us any cap space, at least initially, it isn't necessarily a bad punt. It absolutely though shouldn't be an assumption that he would take a first grade spot any time soon.

Agreed. I'd forgotten it would be salary cap exempt. I wonder if theyd view him has Lui replacement over the long term..

When did Ford last play RL? When he was 14?

Waste of money for me. If we are going to spend a lot there are far more suitable players id take from either code.

I don't think for a minute he'll sign but to say waste of money don't agree.Over the years there as been great RU converts especially from in the backs

Jonathan Davies was a union halfback, played mainly centre or fullback in league though
