Interesting that centre seems to be the first deal to be potentially announced. In theory this should have been the one furthest away from completion as not planned for where as we have had all year to focus on halves and a prop. Suggests at least one is from Superleague and team still in the competition! Cannot see who is available in the halves in the NRL I think Frawley is as good as it gets.

I don’t think Myler will be the Scrum Half next year, but equally we’ve had so long to sort this one out, I don’t think I trust RS or GH to bring the right player in. Time will tell…

There are probably more centres available than 7s; despite less notice.

Once we get the centre then we have cap/quota reduced and we can focus on next targets. I’d like to think that’s a 7, using our final quota spot.

Then it’s into non-overseas players for anything else.

Can we only do or work on one deal at a time? Given that we have had a full year to do our homework, we should have had the halfback and prop identified and bagged long before now. This whole situation just underlines how amateur our planning for recruitment and retention is at Leeds. We resign players that should be let go, and apparently don’t identify and recruit anything like early enough such that we’re scrapping around in the bargain bins or waiting for a miracle to happen.

Of all the players who have come up, it's the one with the least experience I would like. I've watched a couple of his NSW Cup games, as well as his NRL games and Volkman at the Warriors has all the hall marks of a world class 7 in my opinion. Unfortunately for him he's blocked by a genius in Johnson. If I were GH and Smith I'd gamble and offer him a generous contract. He'd probably only stay a couple of years but I think he'd be a SS legend. Ronnie The Rhino 2.

I guess it’s whether a player like that would come but sounds a good shout.

Be nice if we could find a bolter from NRL / reserve grade over there like other clubs seems to manage.

I am confident we have been looking for a Sezer replacement for a while, but there is a lot of competition for a small pool of half backs. For all we know a deal is already done but just hasn’t been announced yet.

If we can just get this signing right I think we look good for at least a top 6 finish next year and some better quality rugby. Be even happier with another big body prop.
