we where close to signing Jonathan Davies twice, the fist time Dougie proved to be more persuasive. the second when widnes nearly went under he was close to signing but wanted the Fullback shirt, and though we would use in on the wing or centre, so went to Warrington and played predominantly at centre there. Think Full back was his best position, and we should have just gave him the 1 shirt and used Alan Tait as more utility.

Jonah Lomu to Leeds was a major rumour back in the day.. would have been amazing. I also remember us trying to sign Wendell Sailor. He played one game (boxing day I believe) as a one off.

He played a couple of games. He was average in the first game, and scored a worldy in the second game IIRC.

I'm sure (But not certain) that he only ever played one game for the Rhinos and that was in the traditional Boxing Day friendly in 1998 against Halifax
