Shame with Segeyaro, cracking player ability-wise but clearly haunted by personal demons.

Interesting re. Carr, let’s see how that one pans out.

I see Cam Smith in NRL sounding less likely to continue career there. Maybe a “Buderus” year at Leeds could work? He comes across as a bit arrogant but my word what a player.

I'd think Smith would only consider SL if he thinks the storm can't win next time round. Unlike some other players he seems to relish personal records though, and just one more year will push him almost out of sight in terms of career appearances and points.

Mate I reckon this is on. You'd at least ask the question if you were Leeds surely? We look like we have a Marquee available, we need a "proper" hooker, have one of the best young prospect in the country. Smith is captain straight off.

I think he'll end up back at St George. I think from what we've seen of Trent this will have been a really horrible decision to have to have made and not one he will have made on a whim, his family comes first and I think we can all respect that, he could quite easily not come back when he went home for personal reasons during this season but it's a mark of the man that he came back and gave his all in every game, he seemed very humbled and honoured to be given the captaincy and if circumstances were different I think he would have loved to honour his contract.

Interesting to see who we have lined up especially with Agar stating the players are still under contract

TBF as Brisbane and others have mentioned NRL under contract means nawt as most clubs are up to the buffers and are happy to let players leave to ease the consequences of cap breaches and create wiggle room.

IF and I say IF he is talking to players then Cam Smith would be up there on my wish list. He wont come cheap but we can afford it so why not? A genuine bums on seats player. Cant see it meself as I reckon hes focussed on garnishing his already impressive NRL records.

Would be very surprised. If he is going to play on he will see out his time with Melbourne now he has already made a packet out of the game, has a young family and uprooting for one season in UK would be unlikely to even enter his head.

Hodgson would be the man I'd go for. One of the best 9s in the world. Brilliant player and English. Marquee all the way

No chance. He's a star here and a cult figure at the Raiders where he's also co-captain. He and the other English guys seem to love life in Canberra.
