You've conveniently forgot to add that the tearaway from Hull Scott Wheeldon has also not been retained. Academy prospects Gadwin Springer and Will Maher are going to be in the first team as well next year for Cas. Bailey and Wheeldon were just one year stop gaps which happens all the time in sport.

Could see his next destination being Wakey if he somehow manages to get a gig in SL. Kirke and Bailey reunited.

Unlikely but is Smith staying beyond this year? I thought he was just on a mission to keep them in SL.

I'm sure that there was something in the statement released when Wakey announced that they'd taken him on which indicated a possibility of him staying beyond the end of this season.

But if they can afford to keep him, I doubt they or he would take a risk on Bailey. Any sensible coach / chief exec would surely ask the question, are we any more likely to get effort and commitment out of RB than HKR and Cass?

Can't find anything on how long he signed up for. I would guess it could depend on if Wakey stay up. Not sure he'd want to stick around if they're in the Championship next year.

Mr Bailey is one very lucky man to be given yet another chance - let's hope he doesn't blow it again. Not a player to be much missed: yet another correct decison by Leeds
