3 of the above are not ready,Smith jury is still out,Donaldson is a impact player at best although I love his enthusiasm and Sutcliffe I was hoping would be a squad player not someone who's in the 17 each week.

The likes of Donaldson shouldn't be anywhere near the 17 bar a fair few injuries.

So like I said, we have three SL starter back rowers plus reserve cover for form and injury. The three young lads will be ready for occasional appearances next year, and the other three can all do a job.

Gale to be announced tomorrow pores conference called. I do hope this does not back fire on us.
Myler will probably go now, that leaves us with Gale Lui and Mcclennon which look s a good set up. Arguably better than what we started last season with.

I was against signing a back-rower but the loss of Merrin I think now we are light on quality not quantity so if we get a prop o would be looking at signing a back-rower.I just don't rate Sutcliffe and I'm not sure Smith's going to make it.I hope Walters gets a few games next year.

Not exactly the fastest half back pairing we have had then again we did go with Sinfield and McGuire towards the end of their time with us and that wasn`t too bad.
Still short of a prop and possibly a centre.
Connor would slot in nicely to that role with Newman chomping on the bit behind him.

Prop and Second Row must be priority ow after Gale announced. We must assume Merrin not here next year

Smith is still quite young; think he needs some direction on his role and the a good pre-season, with game time every week next year. Would expect him to show improvement - but agree he hasn’t fulfilled his early promise yet.
Sutcliffe similarly except I’ve always doubted his ticker for the pack. Needs to bulk up.
The young lads could surprise a few next year; we’re looking at the next decade back row for Leeds potentially. Some other good ones a few years behind them too.
I agree we lose quality with Merrin but I think we’d look better with that quality at 8 or 9. We just need to do our homework and maybe have some luck.
