Yeh makes sense with Hooley.
Good championship player, average SL player.
Must mean Miller will be first choice FB.

Hooley has done okay but if we have Miller and Edgell plus Lumb can play FB, and also possibly Myler in reserve still, we just don't need Hooley if he can get first grade elsewhere. Seems a good lad all the best to him.

Olpherts... this is probably the only RS signing I completely disagree with so far. We have loads of junior wingers coming through who could add more than he does, I just think he was an awful signing and on 2 years too... waste of cap. If he plays for the first team next season I'll be disappointed.

As for the rest it's a tough one. We desperately need a new 7, centre, and possibly a 9. Also another big body for the front row. I'd like to see Holroyd promoted to the 10 shirt too: I think he deserves it over the year.

On one hand we have only been 10% off in so many games that would have turned losses into wins, but on the other we are significantly behind the top sides and we need to not only match but beat them.

I'd be going for a swap with Wakey. Olpherts for young Kershaw. If Olpherts does go he certainly needs replacing.

The answer is we don't know as not privy to the circumstances however if we take
RS at his word then despite his own personal relationship with the player he had minimal communication and didn't know what was going on. Macdonald could have communicated to the club that due to personal circumstances he wished to remain in Australia and if this was deemed acceptable despite the issues it caused Leeds I have no reason to see why they would not have supported this and released a statement requesting that we support Nene and asked fans to respect his privacy. I would not live the other side of the world away from my family either. Arguably he could have come back played the last 3 games and requested a release from his contract and left on good terms but has potentially gone down a different path. We will never know but regardless it's time to move on now. My original point was that in the majority of jobs if you go AWOL from work and don't contact your employer or provide an adequate reason for your absence then you don't get paid. Only the individual and the club know the actual situation and that is the way it should be until a solution giving closure is in place.

Olpherts isn’t actually that bad. Just had a horrendous time with us/ complete loss of confidence + injuries.
