The player himself said he'd like to stay in superleague with kr they weren't in a position to keep him as they had committed to another player so no he wasn't always NRL bound.

Because we’ve been a mess for years and the latest GH output is just like a politician trying to play for time. More waffle. We have nobody else signed who is any good. If we did he’d announce it to get the heat off. If we have signed anyone it will be more plodders like Milnes and he dare not announce it. I’m out of faith.

The next 3 signings will tell us if GH is still up to it or not. Anything less than 3 players who would get into the Saints, Wigan, Catalans teams and he needs to move aside for someone who can bring the right players to the club.

I think we've already had a subtle warning that we're not the favoured choice for the better end of the imports. Rather that it will be entrusted to RS to make the whole greater than the sum of its parts with players who 'have the right character' (Tetevano had that but, anyway...). I've said this before, but not investing in the best quality of quota players will also hold back the development of the promising younger players.
