I saw the 2nd half and thought he was pretty good and took his try well. His halfback partner ( can't remember his name) appeared to be the dominant half though, calling the shots and doing most of the kicking. Frawley didn't get involved in some sets at all. That may be the way Canberra play and he will have a more dominant role for us. Either way I think he will be an improvement on what we have had this year.

Fogarty, who was also touting himself to SL the other week. We could swap one ex raiders pair of halves for another.

I do think RS knows a player when he sees one: the only bad choice he’s made was Olpherts on 2 years, he is terrible.

We can’t give up trying but it is fiendishly hard to compete for NRL players at the moment with the salary difference. As soon as an NRL player finds their form back over here, you risk losing them. As soon as you develop a rare gem domestically, you’re at risk of losing them. Best we can do is stick decent transfer fees in place on domestic lads so at least the club is paid something.

Given team selections from mid-season onwards I get the impression Smith knows Olpherts was a mistake (although it begs the question why he was a better player for Cas). It's not ideal but since Olpherts was signed as a back-up it isn't the end of the world.

It's the likes of Frawley and Miller we can't afford to be bad picks next season...

I'll go with Christopher's mantra if he doesn't want to be at the club "he can do one " Ormandroyd at Salford is loads better.
