How very very strange the nene situation is… totally bizarre. Signs a long extension couple of months ago then goes completely awol.. you’d at least think he’d be speaking to the club and reach an agreement of some sorts.. I just can’t get my head around why he would act like that. I’d hope the club is protecting its interests financially

I think we should just consider Nene’s mental health at the moment - he’s another one who’s had struggles in the past and the whole having a kid thing can be stressful as. Whatever he needs to do we will crack on.

The Abdul thing seems highly unlikely to me. Hull KR are on very sound financial footing, starting to do very well in SL, and also appear planning for the future very well. The idea that they would sell their most creative player ( at 27) to a rival, defies logic unless they have real concerns regarding his fitness. That said, who knows what goes on in the mind of GH.

I like Abdul but pairing him with Frawley we are going to have a very good kicking and organising game but we will also have slowest halves in the league.

He recently signed a 2 year extension to his deal that already had 2 years on it so I wouldn’t of thought we would sell him

Exactly. He's a Hull lad, at a club on the rise. Why would he even want to come? Doesn't make sense so likely true.

GH should resign and Leeds can bring in Peter Hood, paving the way for Steve McNamara to make his return to West Yorkshire as head coach.

Admire your optimism but I can’t see how we can fit in Millar , and that lot in the halves even if I was AN other on £20k a year.

I imagine Myler would be one of the 4 halfback choices rather than just a utility.

Yeah think that is more likely. With Austin, sezer out and Miller, Frawley and possibly another at SH in, we’d be 2 out and 3 in which looks tight on the cap unless we don’t get an expensive Zane replacement and use some of that and possibly Leeming’s money not used on upgrading O’Connor. As ever, the cap is a mystery that fans cannot figure out what’s possible.

The other thing that could free more cap is if a contracted player, like Myler retires or leaves early, possibly in part exchange.

Yeah of course he should and we would; the fact he hasn’t indicates stress and mental dysfunction is what I’m saying.



I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he’s been tapped up by an NRL club given his form this year, offered more money and chance to be with family, and he’s dealing with it in the wrong ways. But I don’t know.

Myler is going nowhere he's just had a baby with the club presidents daughter! Also he has probably been our most consistent performer the last 3 years so deserves to see out his contract. It should be as back up for FB and the halves though.

I personally think it looks like he can’t handle the situation and the conflicts of interest rather than him just not caring: it isn’t the right way to deal with it of course.

I also think it’s unlikely but we’ve moved a few Few on early and maybe he might go for retirement, it would be his 17th year if he goes round again. That’s a lot of hammer for a fairly small bloke. Maybe President and daughter are saying start thinking about the future. I’m just thinking of how we make cap space for what Sharky and others say we are trying to do
