Some big players signed by Cats this year, they look serious contenders already.
It’s good for the competition to have these names playing. I do wonder whether the progress of Cats and Hull in particular, new coach at Wire - we will have our work cut out to win silverware next year realistically.
The team should be very competitive but without that extra prop…me may need to be patient. I get the sense that we need another year to develop this young squad and figure out where the holes really are for senior, quality players to fill for 2023. We’ll see.

Cats do look like they'll step up a level next year, which will be great for the game. Hull are the same every year. Sign good players and look decent on paper, but fade away. And I think Wire will be much the same. Play some good stuff but Powell isn't a finals coach so I don't expect to win anything.
Saints and Cats are the teams to catch and we've made all the right moves to do that. The biggest signing for us i think is Richard Hunwicks. I know there will be injuries in the game, but with him back at the club, I think our players will be in their best shape for years. Hopefully it will make a bit more luck be on our side
