Why do we need Lee ?
We have 4 first choice 2nd rows so Martin will play centre again or sit on the bench or the stand ?
Let’s get someone young and exciting trying to make it not old and tired working for last pay day .

He’s a centre, and it seems weve just lost a centre.

Not that old but now slow and very injury prone is the bigger drawback. With Fusitua in a similar bracket and Newman being dynamic but injury prone, is 3/4 first choice three quarters being injury prone a smart use of cap?

Assuming we can actually get him on the field enough, Lee could be a very useful player. He’s not likely to go the length himself, but he’s great at getting the ball to supporting players (Miller) and his winger (Handley) so could create a lot of tries. He’s also very hard to stop from 10M out due to his physical size (6’ 3” and 16st 5lbs).

We've seen the mess we've got into signing players who turn out to be duds and then are contracted for years. He won't come for one year only. Maybe we'd be better off keeping a spot open for someone mid season than signing someone just because he's available.

I’d rather we sign someone to start the season, the mid season signings don’t seem to turn up players worth having these days. It’s not like Ali will become available given the difference in salary cap.

We seem to be at that point again.

Good player with injury/ etc issues or a crap player to fill the numbers.

The thought of three injury prone players all in the 3/4s is worrying when Roberts Olpherts and Martin are the back up but what else os there?.
We seem to struggle to get what we need and while Miller is a good signing and Goudemand will do a job but we have basically lost Leeming,Walters,Sezar,Austin,Tetevano and signed Miller abd Goudemand. Must be another two or three.
Can't see keeping Bentley and/or fusi costing more than now

I reckon we might push for Lee on the basis that the club hasn’t given up hope of a tilt at the play-offs.

All signings are a risk but he has a lot of first grade NRL experience and isn’t too old…

Sorry the news says several clubs are in for him including us and Cats: I just feel we might be quite serious about winning the race bc Nene looks gone and if we do make the 6 we are going to need a replacement this year. He is immediately available I think?
