If they are told they will not be selected unless we are bare bones with injuries, then not much chance of getting a contract elsewhere if sat on the sidelines, just ask Ash Golding who will now struggle to get a gig elsewhere and his value will be very little, if players who are there last year and told they will not get another contract no matter what, be in Their interests to to look for a 2-3 year deal elsewhere, even if it means a pay cut -2-3 years on 20-30% less money is better than 100% on one year.

This, moved on, parcel, moved on, Mullally Ormanroyd, Walters all moved on in last 12 months. So yes you can, it's not easy but it can be done, I would expect 3-4 players moved on in off season to free space for 2-3 more signings. Not including JJB and Ablett(possibly) retirements

It is possible but not easy. Hopefully one of the lessons learned is to be less carefree with handing out long duration contracts, and anyone past 31/2 should only get a year with anything more at the clubs option.

We'll also hopefully not have four players in the top 20 or so contributing next to nothing due to injuries as well.

A lot easier to ship out the low earners as the pool of potential destinations is larger. It won't free up too much cap though.

So we should have Ablett JJB Golding Ferres at very least moved on with Mellor coming in. Should be plenty of cap to use there. Ferres and Golding (who I fully expect to move) are good earners.

Ideally I'd like Peteru and Singleton moved on with upgrades in their positions coming in but that's in an ideal world, easier said than done

He's got 2 years left on his Cas deal has he not? That would mean a fee (and Cas would rightly rinse us) for a player over 30, coming back after major season ending injuries in last x2 years?

Need our head testing if we go down this path.

Yep - two years left.
Apparently the fee is 200k. It’s a risk for both clubs in my opinion, but bigger for Leeds than Cas.
