This agar bashing is becoming really embarrassing.

He's done a much better job than the chosen one Furner and under very difficult circumstances.

Is he the perfect candidate, maybe not but the arrogance of some on here to think some worldy coach wants to come to a club that has faced relegation in 3 out of the last 4 seasons is so blinkered.

I agree with the sentiment but let's see how we get on this aft. I'm ambiguous about Agar: while he's improved us I have the suspicion - maybe unfair - that he's already done what he can. A confident and controlled performance in London would suggest I'm wrong to hold that view.

He hasn’t though as he? He has done the job he was asked to do, and credit on that. As a result he should maintain the original contract he had. But despite been supported with signing better players, he took over the team from Furner as one of the four worst teams in the comp, and now we are one of the five worst (due to the dramatic regress of one other team). We are not better.

You stick with the same, you then repeat the same next year. That is not bashing him, it is just simple straight in front of your nose reality.

Again this is all a highly subjective argument. I would say our defence has improved under Agar, but our attack looked better under Furner - which is probably as you would expect. Some key player movements have been part of that - we’ve shipped out Watkins and Lolohea who were awful in D on that right hand side early season.

It’s fair to say that neither coach has optimised this squad, but this squad also has errors and lack of quality in key places. I do think the performances of some key players (Cuthbo springs to mind) have improved significantly under Agar.

The new signings have been very significant.

We still could do with a couple more.

If we go with Agar and basically the same squad as now I just can't see us competing with the best. One or the other has to change for things to improve a lot and there's zero evidence Agar has done that with a team.
