Warrington and Hull are top five sides. Look at the alternative, are you seriously suggesting they are better? They would walk into their sides. And Newman would Wigan also.
Give over Gotcha, take the rose tinted glasses off. Neither would walk into either Warrington or Hull. Are you saying young Walker is better than Ratchford or Give him a couple of years and he may be, but not at the moment
All players very likely to be leaving, and that would be 350k freed up. I'd be staggered if the increases given to Walker, Newman and Handley, and the signings Lui, Lunt and Martin were 200k more than the savings of Parcell and Watkins, meaning we would have 150k (or a top quality player) still available on cap space.
JJB about £50k no more he took a huge pay cut to stay this year, he told us on Friday he is hoping to play the last home game. LOL. Ablett last year he was ready to move to Aus to play second grade rugby and be a plumber, until he was offered a 2 year contract, he won’t be on much more than JJB. Probably correct regarding Ferris, maybe Donaldson same as Ablett and JJB..
Is Crosby still on the payroll or did we get permission to have him removed, what about Ablett , what was the issue was he taken off the cap ( similar to Brown at Warrington) Someone on here said they heard Crosby say he pays a load of tax on his £10k monthly salary. When I shake the hands of GH I see how many rings he has nicked off my fingers. Wasn’t Crosby a guy who was struggling for a club, he has hardly played for the last 3 years surely he won’t be on top money. It seems we are becoming a charity for injured players

I hear that some clubs try to recruit potential replacements for current stars BEFORE they retire. A revolutionary idea but true.

I am saying if Warrington had a fullback like Walker that Ratchford would not be playing there. Ratchford is much better in alternative roles. You missed of Hull as well. And you missed off where Newman would struggle.
Hardly any rose tinted specs, just an ability to see what is in front,
My lad was playing at the Leeds foundation festival a couple of weeks back at Hunslet Warriors. Crosby, Lunt, Newman and Donaldson were stood next to us, and I’m not 100% sure who (I think it was Crosby mind), said "I’m getting taxed to f**k on 10 grand a month"!! No way could any of them be earning that kid of dough.
Crosby could put £40k of his £120k a year into a pension and save £16k in tax a year, if he is on that much. Nice problem to have.
In a top five squad you could have walker, Newman, hurrell, Martin, Ava, Merrin but how many would actually get much game time I'm not sure.
It's not just about individual players though, it's about the collective.
I'm also not sure how many relegated assets I'd rest want. We have gone down the low investment/let's buy projects route and that is why we are on the relegation scrap. I'd like us to set out sights higher.
