To have so many players jumping ship (Bentley would be leaving too if NRL/cats had come through.

We don’t know what family situation Nene has, all sorts can happen at and around childbirth shall we just wait and see?

Have to say it doesn’t look good but if a player doesn’t want to be here it is what it is…. Has been a strange one with this on top of Austin and also Walters going (which is actually a blow).

Youd have thought if it was family/health related RS wouldnt be in the dark and CS wouldnt be making the comments he did?.

To be fair Walters has actually improved since it was announced he was leaving I don’t think there’s a he wants out situation there

You forgot Leeming and Tetevano who has also gone by all accounts. Wish we knew what the actual issue was.

I think Leeming couldn’t handle the competition from O’Connor; Tet might as well go if he isn’t going to play again.

Monumental waste of money as a signing. We move on.

We don’t know the situation with Macdonald however the list of departees is growing and the gaps that need filling increasing. Nene has been by a distance our best attacking weapon this year his metres stats way better than anybody else. While being sensitive to his family situation are we going to roll over and allow a contracted player to leave for nothing and then potentially sign elsewhere. If he doesn't want to be here fair enough but there has to be some value in contracts.

Whatever the ins and outs, if he does go it's a chance to improve. We could play it safe and try for another young centre, maybe Iro? Or we could take a risk and move for another key position like hooker and move Martin to centre on a permanent basis. On balance I think they'll opt for the former.
