There is no doubt whatsover no matter what people say, that Holroyd and Walters would be be playing regularly had they been at say Wigan. Absolutely no doubt.

To say if they are good enough they would be ahead is the stupidist argument there is, absolutely nonsense from posters who to be truthful really have no idea in the ability of the players they are questioning, and that is why they say it.

That said, I still think personally that too much is made on Donaldson. I doubt he is the one holding up their progression. If he wasn't there somebody else would be brought in of similar ilk. But Donaldson is worthy of his spot ahead of others currently, so I wish this argument was fair, and centred on all players rather than just the one.

I hear what you are saying but who out of the pack would you drop for Holroyd and Walters.The props so far are doing a decent job.I think both have great futures especially Walters who I hope gets a run of games before the end of the season off the bench.

It is still very early on in the season, hopefully Holroyd and Walters get a chance at some point. Were Sinfield, McGuire etc regulars at Holroyds age? Seem to remember they made their debut at a young age like Holroyd did, but were not regulars.

I would be rotating it, is the simple answer. It isn't a question of dropping as such, but more a case of developing for the future. Ensure these younger players that are clearly the future get the required development time. But of course do not necessarily do that at the expense of them suffering as a result of not strong enough players around them. A couple of games, then out for a couple, gives them the opportunity to work on what they learned.

If Holroyd continues to develop like he is there's a very good chance he'll take Cuthbertson spot at the club presumably when Cuthbertson retires at end of this season ( if he is retiring but I can't see club resigning him when his contract expires at seasons end) it would be good to see the likes of Holroyd, Walters and Mustapha get a few games of super league this season but there's no need to rush them all of them are 20 years of age or under let them develop a bit more physically for a year and get more game time for the likes of Fev and reserves and then we can put them in deep end of playing super league consistently don't want to put young bodies through punishment each week and harm their long term development even if they look ready now.

Exactly. Whenever playing youngsters get mentioned people seem to think its meant as every week. No young forward needs that.

In truth the team is much younger than 2 or 3 years ago. It needs to continue. Walker Newman and Smith are all doing brilliantly and thats the way Leeds need to go.

Agree with that.Ava and Prior have to play everyweek though if fit.

I’d agree with rotation though the seasons only 3 games old, but let’s hope it does happen. The big problem I had was going against Hull with only 3 props when Holroyd should have been given a run. With a strong back row Walters should be introduced.

I think Agars priority is to make sure we're not in a scrap at the bottom end again and then he can introduce the young players in a much less pressured environment

It is and that's why for now he'll go with his strongest 17 each week
